The Press and politicians have given many reasons as to why the Republicans did not win a majority in the Senate. But none have given the correct reason.
The simple and obvious correct reason Republicans did not win a Senate majority is that conservative Republican voters see no reason to vote so long as McConnell is the Republican’s Senate leader.
McConnell will not allow conservative Republican legislation to reach the floor. Witness that during four years of Trump’s Presidency there was no border wall legislation, no fiscal responsibility legislation, and no infrastructure legislation.
